Unibet Returns to the Netherlands After Securing Permit

Unibet has returned to the Netherlands after a lengthy absence, commencing operations today (July 11). This follows their parent company, Kindred, securing a permit to operate within the nation last month.

Unibet will be functioning under the web address Unibet.nl.

Similar to numerous other enterprises, Kindred ceased operations in the Netherlands prior to the market’s opening. They took this action to comply with the regulations established by the Dutch government. At that time, Kindred stated that this could significantly impact their revenue.

Kindred is among numerous companies that took this step, including Entain, Betsson, LeoVegas, and 888.

“Unibet.nl is finally operational, and it feels fantastic,” remarked Lennart Kessels, Kindred’s head for the Netherlands. “We have diligently worked to reach this point, and I am proud.

“We can finally provide our patrons with services in Dutch. We are prepared to welcome them back to our thrilling brand and new website, Unibet.nl.”

Last month, prior to their launch, Unibet forged a partnership with Ajax, a prominent Dutch football club. This occurred despite the country’s plans to prohibit a substantial amount of advertising.
