The Los Angeles-based Angel City Football Club (ACFC) has partnered with Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel to create positive change within Southern California. As the official gaming partner of ACFC, Yaamava’ has pledged its support to young people in the Inland Empire through a variety of programs, including soccer clinics aimed at enhancing athletic and academic prospects.

This collaboration transcends a traditional sponsorship. ACFC and Yaamava’ have jointly established the Angel City Sponsorship Model, a distinctive strategy that motivates both entities to give back to the Inland Empire community. This partnership has already yielded positive results since the club’s first season in 2022. A youth team from the area received VIP treatment at an ACFC match, and the club’s skilled coaches conducted a soccer camp in San Bernardino for 150 children between the ages of 7 and 14, offering high-level instruction and personal growth experiences.

Rikki Tanenbaum, Chief Executive Officer of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, highlighted the common principles behind this partnership: “Yaamava’ Resort & Casino is pleased to declare our collaboration with Angel City Football Club. Our Tribal Nation is dedicated to collaborating with groups that share our beliefs, and ACFC’s objective to uplift Southern California communities by empowering young individuals and promoting inclusivity aligns seamlessly with our own.”

We were ecstatic to welcome Yamaha as a partner,” shared Jessica Smith, the Chief Revenue Officer of Angel City Football Club. “They align perfectly as an initial collaborator, particularly because we are both deeply committed to enacting positive change within Los Angeles.” Smith elaborated that this collaboration will empower Angel City to broaden their community engagement initiatives into the Inland Empire, commencing with their distinctive programs for young athletes.
