Aruze Gaming Defends Founder Kazuo Okada Following Hong Kong Arrest

Aruze Gaming has strongly defended its founder, Kazuo Okada, in the wake of his recent apprehension in Hong Kong.

The firm insists that the detention doesn’t hold the same significance as it might in other legal systems. Their declaration depicts a scenario of a character assassination attempt orchestrated against Okada and his relatives, underscoring their conviction in his lack of guilt.

Aruze fervently characterizes Okada as the “inspirational originator” of the enterprise. It’s important to recognize that Okada’s impact within the gaming realm stretches beyond Aruze, as he is acknowledged for establishing other prominent entities like Universal Entertainment Corporation (UEC).

The proclamation proceeds to imply that the account surrounding Okada’s detainment is deceptive. Aruze stresses that no official accusations have been leveled against him, subtly reminding everyone that legal processes function differently in Hong Kong.

Rather than being branded a person of interest, Aruze portrays Okada and his kin as casualties of “untrue and harmful claims” originating from UEC and its leadership.

The animosity between Aruze and UEC is well-documented, with conflicts simmering since Okada’s dramatic expulsion from Universal’s board in 2017 following an internal inquiry into his alleged misappropriation of company finances. This recent event has only served to rekindle the dispute, with Aruze openly condemning UEC’s rapid and, from their perspective, self-serving reaction to Okada’s apprehension.

Okada encountered legal troubles on other occasions, notably allegations of deception and false testimony in the Philippines, yet he has consistently evaded consequences.
